A huge, frustrating waste of time and money

First off, let me say I am just a guy who likes to cook. There, I said it. I have been cooking for a long time and have cooked on all types of stove tops; gas, electric and recently the inductive tops. Getting to the meat of the issue, (sorry) let me say I couldn't possibly be more disappointed with this stove top. The oven is just ok. I have owned this stove for a little over a year. There is absolutely nothing to like about this product. I bought it in part because it has the ability to downdraft the odors and smoke to the outside. However, in fairness, I have not hooked this up, because it is not an easy task if you choose to DIY, or inexpensive if you choose to have a professional install it. The reason I've not connected the downdraft is because I am looking for another stove. That's right, it is that disappointing. After spending nearly $3,000 I want to dump this thing. Getting to the point, it has to do with lack of heat control. Electric stove tops have never been that great at this function, but this unit is the worst I have ever had the misfortune to own. In order for the burners to even begin to heat up in a period less than the next ice age, they must be on a Hi setting. Eventually, the product will start to cook or boil. That's when you must remove it completely from the burner or IT WILL BURN or boil away. Turning down the control has no effect for at least 8 to 10 minutes. I am not kidding or exaggerating one bit. If you started out trying to get a low simmer with the proper dial setting, it will take 18 minutes to reach that point with 8 oz. of water. Trying to cook any combination of dishes simultaneously, each with its own specific heat requirement is nearly impossible. After turning off the burner, expect the stove top to remain too hot to touch for at least 15 minutes. The nice glossy black surface is pretty, but is difficult to keep clean. If you so much as spill a drop of anything and I mean anything other than water, you had better stop what
No, I do not recommend this product
